I just started a run with this mod and a few others. I wanted to do a feedback on my current opinion on this mod by suggesting an improvement.
Run mods :
- Grog's Quality Hell
- A mod for 3 more quality levels
- Better quality names (so that they a coherent with the 3 additional ones)
- QualityLabs (quality on labs reduces science drain)
- others non quality related modes
Having quality right from the start is quite painfull (for example : direct insertion of a mining drill into a stone furnace for stones bricks gets easily blocked by quality stones). However it is also quite rewarding. Especially with the quality labs mod that gives a significant benefit to having early game quality.
However I noticed that all quality levels seems to be unlocked right from the start (I got 2 legendary iron plates before reaching bots). Could it be possible to have an option to choose how many quality levels are unlocked at the start of the game ? It feels a bit cheaty to have unlocked legendary even before reaching space and makes techs to unlock new quality levels useless...
Overall I'm quite found of this mod and expecting a hopefully rewarding pain when reaching Gleba.
I also have high expectation for the moment I'll start "training" machines before trying to craft high quality stuffs
