Galdoc's Manufacturing
This is a complexity-adding mod to add some delicious realism into Factorio. I have a devlog in which I go into great detail. It's at: https://youtu.be/igj0uCnbXK0
This is the Metalworking phase of the mod. The general idea is that many products -- assemblers, belts, inserters -- are now built from combinations of Machined Parts which have special properties, like being High Tensile or Thermally Stable. To get these, you mine ores (there's new types now), smelt them into plates, and feed those to specialized Metalworking Machining Tools which I have called Minisemblers (1x2 'assemblers'). What you get from those are called Stocks, which get refined and are eventually turned into Machined Parts. The aim is to give the player a greater sense of granularity in the manufacturing process.
Compatibility:
Most vanilla recipes that used metal have been re-imagined (except, notably, most Combat items). Compatibility with other mods is very loose; deliberate compatability is planned. Feel free to experiemnt, but for now, I would assume most other mods will break, particularly if they add or rely on non-vanilla ores/alloys.
Disclaimers:
This is in Beta! It's stable, has art, and is balanced and enjoyable. That said, there's still a few QoL features I want to add, but they are mostly "polishing the experience" kinds of updates. Enjoy!
