Gave it some thought, and what I'm planning is to let you craft the hibernation pods yourself. Then you can use one of the existing capsule turret mods to shoot them out, rather than reinventing the wheel with another turret option.
Halfway there with the 1.0.0 release of this mod. You can now craft capsules to summon your very own Fulgora defence robots, however its tied behind research at a new space location.
Current development is working with these capsule launcher mods to see what is natively compatible, or what needs specific integrations to take place.
