Description

Allows you to seamlessly rotate/flip/mirror the fluid inputs and outputs of buildings. Works for vanilla and modded recipes and buildings.

What does it fix?

It fixes the modules compatibility. Previous versions were allowing the use of efficiency modules for permutated recipe where it shouldn't and blocking the use of productivity modules where it should.

Instructions

  1. Select a recipe with more than one fluid in the inputs and/or outputs
  2. Hover over the building
  3. Use one of the appropriate controls:
    Next ingredients rotation - CONTROL + SHIFT + I
    Previous ingredients rotation - CONTROL + ALT + I
    Next results rotation - CONTROL + SHIFT + R
    Previous results rotation - CONTROL + ALT + R

Settings

  • Simple mode - instead of generating all permutations, only generate reversed ingredients, reversed products and both reversed
  • Permutations threshold - If a recipe has more permutations than the threshold Fluid Permutations will not generate (permutation) recipes for it
  • Fill fluid boxes - On Ingredients/Results with only 1 fluid, it will use all related fluid boxes.
  • Cross cycle mode - Allows any of the hotkeys to cycle through all possible permutations - ingredients and products. This is a per player setting (toggleable during a game)

Explanation

Fluid Permutations works by generating a recipe for each permutation of the input and output fluids and letting you change between them. For example the Advanced oil processing takes 2 fluids and outputs 3 fluids, so this mod generates all 12 permutations (as can be seen in the pictures).

You can rotate fluids regardless of whether the building is currently crafting, any crafting progress will be preserved.

Can I swap to any other Fluid Permutations variants?

Yes, you can swap the mods with no problem. The new hidden recipes created across all of them are the same.

Compatibility

Although it has optional dependencies, it should be compatible with most mods.
