Please consider setting the main_product property of recipes to the item with the same icon. It would merge the item and the recipe that produces it in the mod's Factoriopedia section, making it easier to navigate.

On a side note, I think the mod is safe to add to an existing save as it does not change map gen or existing techs. If so, you should probably say so somewhere on the main info page.

It is safe to add to existing saves, though new versions of the mod can be incompatible with old ones so I'd recommend using backups and being aware of possible item loss and recipe changes.
