Hi,
when I place miners with the Blueprint Shotgun mod, the tracking of new ore patches doesn't start automatically. I have to place at least one miner manually or with vanilla bots. There might be similar issues with other early bot mods.
I don't know if this is something you have to fix on your end or it needs to be fixed in the Blueprint Shotgun mod. I'll open a bug report there, too.
