g [implemented] Exclusion settings

Hi,

It would be kinda useful to have a setting to ignore all resource patches with less than x in them (similar to the setting in Resource Map Label Marker.

Another thing that would also be useful would be to be able to tell it to completely ignore specific surfaces. Like disabling tracking on planet a and c, but not planet b and d.

Hi @egladil,

I'll add a setting for minimal amount to the mod settings in the next version, I'll let you know when it is released.

And regarding the selective tracking: you can already un-track all sites for certain surfaces through the surface overview. But the issue is that new sites still get added on every surface unless it is disabled in mod settings. I'm already planning to improve the settings for auto-tracking, so I think you'll like the new system. I'll let you know when I'm done with it.

Nice! I'm looking forward to it :)

Hey @egladil,
this feature has finally been implemented in 1.2.5 - although not quite exactly as requested:

  • Map tags may be hidden when a site is below a certain threshold (mod settings).
  • Site lists have a new filter for minimum site amount, this may be used when scouting out new sites to mine at.
  • If you do not plan on mining all available sites, I'd always recommend turning off auto-tracking and regularly tracking sites with miners through the button in the relevant surface.
  • Sites are still generated regardless of their size. This is because sites are generated as chunks are discovered. When a large site is scattered across many chunks, it would ignore all parts of the site that are below the threshold. This problem could only be resolved if this mod automatically uncovered nearby chunks (like other mods do), but I don't want to do that.
