Demolisher Rework
Loaded Space Age, saw the demolishers only to be disappointed by how they are a simple one hit wonder and forgettable? Demolisher Rework is for you. It overhauls demolisher behaviour on Vulcanus with a three-phase repopulation system, a minimap overlay for contested territories, and a build-trigger enrage mechanic. Everything is configurable in Mod Settings.
Territory states
- Occupied (red) - a demolisher lives here, vanilla behaviour
- Contested (yellow hazard stripes) - empty territory waiting for repopulation, shown on the minimap
- Free - empty with no occupied neighbours, no overlay
Three-phase repopulation
When a resident demolisher dies, the territory does not repopulate instantly:
- Cooling - a grace period where nothing happens and no overlay appears. Gives players breathing room to work in the area without immediately triggering a counter-attack.
- Contested - the territory enters the migration queue and the yellow hazard-stripe overlay appears on the minimap.
- Migration - a demolisher from a neighbouring occupied territory clones itself and walks toward the contested territory centre. The overlay persists until it arrives. Kill the migrant to prevent recapture attempt.
Build trigger
Placing any structure inside an occupied demolisher territory immediately enrages the resident demolisher.
What you can configure
Runtime settings (changeable mid-save):
- Grace period before a territory becomes contested (default 5 min)
- Migration delay before a migrant is dispatched (default 10 min)
- Minimum interval between successive dispatches (default 5 min)
- Migration chance per cycle, if you want some territories to never repopulate (default 100%)
Startup settings:
- Territory radius per demolisher (default 2 chunks, vanilla is 4)
- Enrage duration (default 60 s, vanilla is 30 s)
- HP multiplier for each tier separately - small, medium, and big (default 1.5x each)
