i Integration with Extended Industries?

5 years ago

The description states it adds stuff for "other mods" at the end, so I figured I'd throw this request in here too if that's okay.

TinyOverhaul (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/tiny-overhaul) was a neat little mod that just updated to 0.17 under a new name Extended Industries (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/extended-industries) which only adds a handful of different items, but they're only intermediate products or other resources. Would you be willing to include recipes for those items?

Small Electric Engines
Quartz
Silicum
Bauxite
Lithium
Aluminum-Lithium Alloy

Since these change up the majority of the vanilla recipes you end up needing a ton of these items, which naturally would be a lot easier with crating & stacking.

Thanks for considering either way.

I added a FAQ entry on what I need to do this.

5 years ago

That's actually a really helpful FAQ post, thanks.

Here's what you're looking for (it turns out these are thankfully straightforward):

Mod Name - extended-industries_0.0.3

[item-name]
lithium=Lithium
bauxite=Bauxite
aluminium-lithium=Aluminium lithium mixture
aluminium-alloy=Aluminium lithium alloy
quartz=Quartz
silicium=Silicium
e_engine=Small electric engine

Thanks again.

Pls test :)

Works like a charm! A couple of the icons are kinda bugged out but that's not a big deal.

If I can bug you for one more smaller request, SigmaOne's Nuclear mod (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/SigmaOne_Nuclear) has a couple of resources that could benefit from stacking as well:

Mod Name - SigmaOne_Nuclear_1.3.2

[item-name]
plutonium-239=Plutonium-239
fluorine-ore=Fluorine ore

This one's less important, but thank you again very much for your work.

Added in 0.7.2, pls test. Also have a look at the tech levels I added the stacking in, and if they make sense?

Fluorine and Plutonium work great!

Small Electric Engine units being under Stacking 2 tech was kind of confusing at first but I realized that's where all of the other basic intermediate products get stacking recipes too so that's fine.

I would recommend moving Fluorine Ore and Plutonium-239 to Stacking 3 tech because those are intended to be a progression from Uranium and it sits in that same tier.

Other than that, awesome work! Huge thanks as always. :)

Thanks! They'll move to tech 3 in the next release.

One is supposed to write migrations when a tech gains recipe unlocks, because when you already have it researched, it doesn't add them automatically in a running game, but I hope I'll get away with not doing it, as stacking 3 requires tech 2 to be unlocked already, so it shouldn't be possible to not either already have the recipes unlocked or get them when researching 3. Heh, that sentence is confusing, I'll blame sunday ^^.
