I generated a new map with mode set to random, the Starting radius set to 50, and the Simple ore radius set to 100. So I expected to have some time before having to mine out Uranium to make space. But it didn't work, there's still uranium ore in the inner most ore tiles.

I need to clarify, the simple radius only applies to Random mode because you have less control over what you're mining. Other modes means the uranium won't appear in random chunks to block your growth and you can easily plan around it.

Okay, but like I said, I was using random mode. So... huh?
