Cutetorio 0.1
Give Factorio a more cheerful palette through its existing lighting color-lookup
pass. Cutetorio changes selected colors while preserving daytime luminance,
neutral structures, texture detail and dark nights. There are no replacement
sprites, painted textures, custom shader binaries, gameplay changes or runtime
scripts. The package contains only code, documentation, MIT licensing and 24
small numerical LUTs.
Choose among three presets:
- Orchard: fresh greens and peach/coral accents.
- Sunshine: a warmer golden meadow.
- Confetti: jade and berry accents.
Settings
All controls are under Settings → Mod settings → Startup. Changing them
requires a Factorio restart; values are shared by all players on a server.
| Control | Choices | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Enable color grade | On / off | On |
| Palette preset | Orchard / Sunshine / Confetti | Orchard |
| Color strength | 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, 100% | 100% |
| Night treatment | Palette nights / Original nights | Palette nights |
Lower strengths reduce color changes in linear light without lifting exposure.
0% and disabled grading leave all existing lighting untouched. Palette nights
apply the selected colors with Cutetorio's dark night response. Original nights
retain the incoming ambient night lighting and transition times; lamp-lit
objects can still show the daylight palette. In Original nights mode, daylight
already graded by another mod is also preserved.
Compatibility
Factorio 2.1.20 and later in the 2.1 series, with optional Space Age. Tested
on 2.1.21, including an installed 250-mod configuration, all 30 preset/
strength/night combinations, disabled mode and native renderer comparisons.
The grade applies to Nauvis and surfaces using default lighting. Other planets
with explicit lighting keep their own atmosphere. Mods editing the same lighting
fields may override or be overridden by Cutetorio. Keep shader postprocessing
enabled in Factorio's graphics settings.
Older private art-heavy Cutetorio saves are outside this release's migration
scope. This release includes no historical art assets.
