g Event handler throwing an error on joining a server

(updated 9 months ago)

"Cannot join. The following mod event handlers are not identical between you and the server. This indicates that the following mods are not multiplayer (save/load) safe."
The log file shows this:
" 57.912 Error ClientMultiplayerManager.cpp:1080: mod-cardinal was registered for the following events when the map was saved but has not re-registered them as a result of loading: on_tick (ID 0)
57.912 Error ClientMultiplayerManager.cpp:85: MultiplayerManager failed: "" + multiplayer.script-event-mismatch + "
" + "
mod-cardinal"
"
The server added other mods since last time I joined, but the other guys playing on it are still playing just fine.
I tried the usual suspects of deleting/resetting the mod(settings) etc, so not sure what to do

Any ideas?

Edit:
Deleting me from the server/save also didn't work. Investigating...
Rebooting the server fixed it.
Not sure why it was an issue just for me specifically, but at least the oldest trick in IT solved it ;)

I also just had this issue. I do not have access to the server to reboot it for a few days, but I will update when I do.

Update: It is still happening. I restarted the server and logged in yesterday, then played for a few hours. Just now I went to log in and had the same error. I asked a friend who plays on the server and he was also getting the same error. It doesn't happen every time you log in, but it has happened to me twice now.

Before it started happening, I had logged in with a different computer. It worked just fine, but 2 days later I tried to log in again with that computer and got the error for the first time. This was when my friend was unable to join. Since I first restarted the server I have only been using the original computer.

This is the exact error:
