Changelog

Version: 0.5.2
Date: 2026-10-23
  Changes:
    - Require Factorio 2.1.23 or later in the 2.1 series.
    - Mention Brevven's BZ mods in the searchable summary.
Version: 0.5.1
Date: 2026-10-17
  Changes:
    - Connect external factories through filter leachate, furnace reduction charges, plating electrolyte and native manufacturing parts.
    - These integration additions leave Fluffy-only recipes, machines and progression unchanged, with or without Space Age.
  Compatibility:
    - Coordinate Tellurium's external material chains and save-safe recipe upgrades; Fluffy-only gameplay remains unchanged.
Version: 0.5.0
Date: 2026-10-17
  Features:
    - BZ, Timeken, Planetfall/Ashier, Trikop, K2 and SE packs use required leachate, dry reduction charges and plating electrolyte.
    - Integrate native alkalis, coke, argon, HCl, filter binders, lead bolts, machine components and absorber alloys at reachable research tiers.
    - Move robot-frame hardware into the complete native electric-engine bill; add fan and elevated-rail hardware. Retire discounted engines/rails into equal native aliases.
    - Run dry reduction/refining in native foundries and dry CdTe/detector crystallization in seeded Gallium pullers. Keep specialist plating productivity.
    - Add advanced phosphoric washing after both filter and Phosphorus recovery research; retain competing arsenic recovery and direct planetary sponge sources.
  Compatibility:
    - Fluffy-only recipes, including Space Age, stay unchanged. Existing planetary starts retain restricted local plating.
    - Require coordinated companion hooks for safe recipe upgrades; preserve complete final host bills and all native byproducts.
    - Include K2 Spaced Out used-filter leaching and native K2 hydrogen chloride IDs.
    - Normalize declared Factorio 2.1 provider fields, including Foundry refractory nickel probability; repair Brass Tacks' native BZ gyro fallback.
  Bugfixes:
    - Preserve buffered ingredients, finished outputs, quality stocks, fluids and materials consumed by in-progress crafts when upgrading genuine 0.4.2 saves.
    - Keep native motors in the first scrubber to prevent a Cadmium/Neodymium production cycle.
    - Cap preprocessing productivity, including intrinsic machine bonuses, and prevent filter quality upgrades while accepting existing quality cartridges.
Version: 0.4.2
Date: 2026-10-16
  Bugfixes:
    - Fix loading when another mod adds ranged products to acid neutralisation. Scale inherited yields and quantity accounting with the doubled batch.
  Compatibility:
    - Requires Factorio 2.1.22 or later.
Version: 0.4.1
Date: 2026-10-12
  Compatibility:
    - Paracelsin: Zinc extraction unlocks zinc purification with cadmium recovery. In a chemical plant, 80 dirty zinc solution, 80 steam, 32 copper cable and 1 zinc make 80 zinc solution, 20-80 stone, 16 copper cable and 1 cadmium sponge in 16 seconds, at Paracelsin's pressure.
    - Cadmium recovery keeps ordinary zinc purification available. It accepts neither productivity nor quality and cannot be recycled.
Version: 0.4.0
Date: 2026-10-12
  Features:
    - Gleba: biochambers recover cadmium sponge from 10 spoilage, 1 bioflux and 10 sulfuric acid in 8 seconds. Unlocked with Bioflux processing, before agricultural science.
    - Vulcanus: foundries capture cadmium in a scrubber filter while smelting 2,000 lava and 4 calcite into 1,000 molten copper and 60 stone in 64 seconds. Wash the loaded filter for sponge. Unlocked with Foundry; acid neutralisation remains available.
    - An in-game Space Age tip lists cadmium sources on each planet. Aquilo and space platforms continue to use imports.
  Balancing:
    - Space Age: foundries can smelt cadmium plates, electromagnetic plants can plate hardware, and cryogenic plants can run cadmium chemistry. Furnaces and chemical plants keep their recipes.
    - Space Age: plated hardware accepts productivity, capped at +300%. Lava fume capture never multiplies or raises the quality of filters, and filter washing cannot raise cartridge quality.
    - Space Age: Cadmium refining productivity follows Electromagnetic science and Fume scrubbing. Each level adds 10% plate productivity, costing red, green, blue, space and electromagnetic science, starting at 1,500 of each and rising by 50% per level. Existing levels are preserved.
    - Without Space Age, recipes and refining research retain their previous behavior.
Version: 0.3.7
Date: 2026-10-12
  Balancing:
    - Space Age: steam turbines no longer need plated hardware. They are the first power on Vulcanus, Gleba and Aquilo, which have no cadmium of their own at that point. Without Space Age they still take 5, and nuclear reactors still need neutron absorber assemblies.
    - Cadmium plates recycle into cadmium plates (25%), like Space Age's other plates, instead of into cadmium sponge. Recycling plates and smelting the sponge again with productivity no longer makes quality plates cheaply.
  Changes:
    - Space Age: fume scrubbers and electrostatic precipitators can only be built where the air pressure matches a planet with airborne pollution (Nauvis, 1000 hPa). They can no longer be placed on Vulcanus, Fulgora, Gleba, Aquilo or most modded planets, where they would only stand switched off. Scrubbers already built there stay, switched off as before.
  Compatibility:
    - Rabbasca no longer makes harene-infused fume scrubbers and precipitators, and Tenebris Prime no longer makes bioluminescent ones. Those copies ran on free power without the fume bonus or the switch-off where there is no pollution. Copies in existing saves, placed or in inventories, turn back into ordinary scrubbers.
Version: 0.3.6
Date: 2026-10-07
  Balancing:
    - Neutron absorber assemblies take two cadmium plates, two steel plates, two stone bricks and one plated hardware in eight seconds. With Magnesium, reachable magnesia replaces the bricks without adding a science tier.
  Features:
    - With Neodymium, optional Dysprosium-assisted absorbers research follows Heavy rare earths and Nuclear power: 150 red, green, blue and yellow science, 30 seconds each.
    - One dysprosium oxide and twenty cadmium plates make twenty assemblies in 160 seconds, with the same casing, lining and hardware per assembly. The ordinary recipe remains available before yellow science.
  Compatibility:
    - Existing absorber assemblers keep their recipe and need the new materials supplied. Existing reactors and stored assemblies are unchanged. Recycling uses the standard assembly recipe; the alternative cannot generate a second recycling route.
Version: 0.3.5
Date: 2026-10-06
  Balancing:
    - Both filter capture recipes take 24 seconds instead of 240. Pollution bonuses still reward placing scrubbers across dirty factory chunks; machine speed, power and pollution removal per minute are unchanged.
    - Filter washing with tellurium recovery now returns plain filters 70% of the time and impregnated filters 85% of the time. Both recovery routes use 50% more replacement filters than ordinary washing.
    - Recovery still takes 20 acid and has a 10% chance of tellurium residue. Phosphorus's derived phosphoric-acid recipes inherit the greater filter wear.
    - Ordinary washing, cadmium yields per filter and research are unchanged. Existing scrubbers gain the faster capture when loading the updated mod.
Version: 0.3.4
Date: 2026-10-06
  Features:
    - Infinite cadmium refining productivity research after impregnated filters: +10% plate productivity per level, using red, green, blue and purple science. Starts at 1,500 packs of each type and costs 50% more each level.
    - Cadmium plate smelting accepts productivity modules. Research and modules share the normal +300% total productivity cap.
    - Every sponge source benefits at refining; filter returns, washing byproducts and plated hardware recipes are unchanged.
Version: 0.3.3
Date: 2026-09-25
  Compatibility:
    - Tellurium 0.2.1 with Krastorio 2: advanced solar panels use cadmium telluride instead of tellurium metal, as vanilla solar panels do.
    - Space Exploration with Tellurium: night vision equipment needs one cadmium (zinc) telluride detector crystal, like gamma-ray detectors.
Version: 0.3.2
Date: 2026-09-25
  Balancing:
    - Nuclear reactors need 50 neutron absorber assemblies instead of 20.
  Features:
    - Neutron absorber assemblies also go into fusion reactors (Space Age, Krastorio 2) at 50, Krastorio 2's nuclear locomotive at 10, and portable fission reactors and Space Exploration's portable fusion reactor at 5.
    - The absorber assembly unlocks with the research of any of these machines; existing saves get it on load.
Version: 0.3.1
Date: 2026-09-24
  Info:
    - Shorter Mod Portal summary; art credits stay in the changelog and THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt.
Version: 0.3.0
Date: 2026-09-23
  Features:
    - Brass Tacks: zinc purification in a chemical plant recovers cadmium, the richest source (optional; ordinary smelting stays).
    - If Nickel: nickel-cadmium batteries from nickel and cadmium instead of lead, zinc, graphite and acid (optional).
    - Space Exploration with Tellurium: gamma-ray detectors need cadmium zinc telluride crystals.
Version: 0.2.0
Date: 2026-09-23
  Major Features:
    - Initial release.
    - Fume scrubbers capture flue dust into filters; washing them recovers cadmium sponge, smelted into cadmium plates.
    - Scrubbers work faster in polluted chunks (shared among scrubbers in the chunk) and still run at base speed with pollution disabled.
    - Research progression: fume scrubber, electrostatic precipitator (4x4) and impregnated filters that scrub twice as hard.
    - Cadmium-plated hardware: more efficient engine and rail recipes; rocket parts, flying robot frames, roboports, steam turbines, centrifuges, big mining drills and nuclear reactors need plated parts.
  Features:
    - Space Age: Vulcanus neutralises acid with cadmium recovery, Fulgora leaches cadmium from scrap; scrubbers stay on planets with airborne pollution.
    - Krastorio 2: used air purifier filters can be leached for cadmium; with Brass Tacks, an optional zinc enrichment with cadmium recovery.
    - Space Exploration: cargo rocket sections need plated hardware; cadmium items fit the delivery cannon.
    - Tellurium: optional filter washes that also recover a little tellurium residue, and solar panels take cadmium telluride (cadmium plate + tellurium metal) in place of Tellurium's tellurium metal.
