Hello, just tested this with new game.
Basic cruser is unlocked with automation 2 (logi science), sand from AAI industry is unlocked with automation science.
Since glass is only needed from lamps at this tech anyway and there is a possibility to make sand by hand there is no softlock.
However it will be nice to unlock basic crusher as soon as sand or to make using it as an alternative to an assambler (a better one).
Hi thanks again. Yeah forcing handcrafting was not my intent. For AAI industry, basic crusher will now unlock with sand, which will be gated behind steel. This seems fine since you don't need glass or anything for steel.
I haven't actually played with AAI industry in well over a year, (right now kinda patiently waiting on SE to release for 2.0) so my apologies if anything else feels off with AAI industry.
