Thanks for your excellent mods. They really add to a K2 playthrough.
In K1, sand was an independent resource, directly mineable. With the increased diversity of uses this mod creates for sand-based products, can I suggest restoring independent sand as well? It could be an option for those who don't want another ore on the map. But I think it would make for nice symmetry with your Lead and Titanium mods, and also reduce any concern you might have about your changes to recipes unbalancing sand vis-a-vis other basic ingredients. Need more sand for silica recipes? Go mine it!
If I implement, I'd start as a K2-only option, but I'd want to try to generalize the option to Vanilla, SE+AAI (without K2), etc soon after. I'll need to think on how to handle that.
