Brave New OARC Scenario


This mod is a scenario that overhauls multiplayer merging Brave New World and OARC for an awesome single player / multiplayer game. Play on teams or solo in your own base, while other players do the same. Chat with players, learn from their builds. You get to do your own design. You choose to play legacy character mode, or BNO Mode where you have no body, unable to craft anything yourself (lazy bastard) and must command bots to build everything. You start with resources and a little power.

I used 4.2.44 to debug Auto Deconstruction of miners, logging a new method of confirming that the miner area is empty. This works, and I added that to 4.2.45 - hot patching an alien module multiplayer server. All is working well, except Alien Miners in Alien Modules mod does not generate a on_resource_depleted event, so these mines are not removed - very odd.

I have plans to make bot destructibility researchable - so you start with around 25% settings on all 4 attributes and can research 3 more each, upto 100% indestructible. The host will still have the option of starting with indestructible, no changes to destructibility or this new method of researchable. Since I've made alot of changes to bots, I want to push this into a separate mod, enabling it for separate use from BNO. I'll also add other bot attributes to be researchable - range, battery size, movement efficiency.

Potentially adding GPS ping on a player by clicking their name in the players GUI to make it easier to find players.
