Brave New OARC Scenario


This mod is a scenario that overhauls multiplayer merging Brave New World and OARC for an awesome single player / multiplayer game. Play on teams or solo in your own base, while other players do the same. Chat with players, learn from their builds. You get to do your own design. You choose to play legacy character mode, or BNO Mode where you have no body, unable to craft anything yourself (lazy bastard) and must command bots to build everything. You start with resources and a little power.

Check the Changelog for details, but the mod now supports Krastorio and Freight Forwarding. There will be more changes added for Krastorio. JVM was kind enough to code up a Square Base layout for Oarc, which I will incorporate. Krastorio base is larger with more resources. Next release I will link the starting resources to the settings made in the sliders for resource quantity. Currently it is a static amount, which is doubled for Krastorio. The base size is 32 tiles larger around the perimeter, which feels great having so much space. I recommend increasing Frequency and Richness to make the game more about building rather than expansion. Freight Forwarding is more of an expansion type mod.

There is a bug in the Krastorio version of this mod that Restart does not remove bases. I will spend more time on this. Currently I disabled RESTART. If you remove the bridge, players will be less inclined to restart trying to get a water spawn. I also go into /editor mode and remove old bases. They will be obvious - look at the name of the Main Roboport, and if there is no name on the ground, or player in the base, then it is an abandoned phantom base. Use the editor to remove it. The Regrowth will eventually reclaim that land, saving on memory.

I still provide PISTOL ammo, instead of the intended Rifle Ammo. I plan to fix this on the next release.
Two Bio Labs are provided. You will need to unlock the bio research:
