b [Fixed] Inserter Config Bug

In previous versions of Factorio, the inserter configuration menu would work from the perspective of the inserter; in practice this meant that if you rotated the inserter 90 degrees, the configuration would automatically rotate 90 degrees.

This does not appear to be the case in the current version of this mod.

Interestingly this also affects the Smart Inserters mod, https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Smart_Inserters. I noticed this when copy and pasting rotated inserters the inserter would keep the original setting instead of the rotated one.

Perhaps it's a change to how inserters work in 2.0? Worth looking into.

It must be a base game change that caused it. Certainly nothing I've modified!

Yeah, that was my thinking. It seems like the issue arises only in placement, not post-placement, so maybe starting in the code for that would be a good idea.

If you talk about direction IDK from which version but now when copy-pasting Factorio will rotate the position to match the new direction BUT will NOT update the direction.

So if the original inserter has direction = north and the copied to had direction = south Factorio will rotate the positions to match the direction.

If you want to have 2 identical inserters you should rotate the direction, but the mod needs to implement this behavior.

I added this option a while ago but managing copy-paste is not that easy so for now I removed that feature. (Smart Inserter)

I hope I clarified what's happening if I misunderstood something (Most likely) let me know,

I think I get what you're saying, seems about right? Though the 2.0 update (base-game that is) caused a modpocalypse as it is. It's not the mod's fault, it's Wube having changed things around.

A lot of the QOL mods I used to rely on are completely useless now because of the under-the-hood changes.

Yeah, 2.0 broke a lot of stuff, if Wube gave the game a week earlier to mod dev a lof of casualties could have been avoided.

Anyway, we're in this situation now, and we can't do much.
