FAQ

Assuming an infinite supply of pollution, what is the base pollution absorption rate per minute per tier & filter?

Without modules, these are the base filter rates as of 0.1.0:
- Tier 1 - 60/m
- Tier 2 - 240/m
- Tier 3 - 300/m

Do modules affect absorption rate?

Speed and efficiency module effects can be applied to the air filter machines. Do note that the energy drain (continuous consumption) is not affected by these modules.

How do you fuel these machines? Wont accept wood or coal?

The machines remove pollution from the air in their region by using air filters.

How do you refresh a used air filter?

There's a recipe for recycling filters that uses coal and used air filters to restore them (unlocked via research).

What is the main difference between your mod and the air filtering mod?

The main difference is that air filter machines in this mod actively suck in polution from nearby chunks. Also there are new filters and different recipes for early game.

The machine isn't running and it shows the status message "no ingredients", while it clearly has enough air filters. Is this a bug?

Most likely the second ingredient is missing: pollution.

Can inserters extract the used filters from tier 1 machines?

Used air filters cannot be extracted from the first tier of air filter machines by inserters. Factorio does not feature inserters that can extract from burnt_result_inventory.
