Berbcorp Inserter Control

Berbcorp Inserter Control is a lightweight, GUI for precise inserter pickup and drop placement.

What it changes

  • Enables custom pickup/drop vectors for compatible inserters.
  • Adds a compact GUI beside the normal inserter window.
  • Lets left click set the green pickup tile.
  • Lets right click set the red drop tile.
  • Adds separate 3x3 pickup and drop offset grids for quarter-tile placement.
  • Supports belt-side and near/far placement through offsets.

Why

Adjustable inserter placement is useful, but heavy selector systems, world rendering, periodic cleanup, and broad configuration layers can add more moving parts than some saves need. Berbcorp Inserter Control keeps the runtime model small: no tick loop, no rendering objects, and no entity scanning.

Compatibility

Berbcorp Inserter Control controls inserter pickup/drop vectors directly, so it should not be used together with other adjustable inserter control mods. It should work with normal inserter prototypes from content mods as long as they behave like standard inserters.

Balance

The mod does not add new inserters, recipes, technologies, speed changes, power changes, or stack-size changes. It only exposes pickup/drop tile and offset placement through a GUI.

Safe for existing saves

Berbcorp Inserter Control is safe to add to existing saves. Removing it leaves already-adjusted inserters with their current pickup/drop positions, because those positions are stored on the entities by Factorio.
