They've adapted!
Biters, Spitters, Worms, and Spawners gain resistance against your weapons as they evolve. Use weapons with another damage type to bypass their shields but be careful: they may adapt to the new damage type as well!
- Biters gain adaptive shields based on their evolution factor.
- Notifications occur as shields appear.
- Shields start off weak but strengthen over time.
- Damage type for weapons are helpfully displayed.
- Unique icons and sounds for each shield type.
- Settings for applying shields in different ways for varied strategic experiences.
- Biters can gain shields from damage types from other mods.
Mod-friendly shields
If other damage types are introduced, they will automatically gain a unique icon and default sound effect. To add your own shield,
baronShields.create_shield{damage_type=..., animation?=..., sound?=...}
damage_type :: string The name of the new damage type represented by this shield.
animation :: animation? The animation to use for the sticker and shield effects. If omitted, a uniquely tinted image is used.
sound :: sound? The sound to use for shield effects. If omitted, a default sound is used.
