Balanced Waterfill

Adds a more balanced counterpart to other, popular waterfill mods. Keeps buildings, spidertrons, cliffs, and other entities safe from being destroyed by waterfill, while still letting you use offshore pumps wherever you like. Highly configurable, and fully compatible with several popular mods including Space Exploration and Cargo Ships. Walkable to prevent you from making impenetrable defenses.

i Ignore character prototypes?

Hi! Could you add some way to tell your mod that it should ignore certain character prototypes? For example, I've a mod that inserts dummy characters into cars and spider-vehicles and destroys the characters when they aren't needed anymore. No player should ever see or use them, so giving them footstep particles is useless. There are other mods that use dummy characters as well (e.g. my character selector mod and, if I remember correctly, AAI Programmable Vehicles), so it would be great if you could provide some kind of interface other mods could use.

You could ignore prototypes with a certain flag (e.g. the Jetpack mod won't create a version of characters that have the flag "prevent_jetpack"), or provide a global function that other mods could call to add their prototypes to a blacklist.

That's a great idea, thanks for bringing it to my attention! Now that I'm thinking of compatability, I'll also add an option for other mods to also control the colision masking system, for example, allowing other mods to make their entities placeable on waterfill.

I'll implement this as soon as I have the chance to.
