Bad Science, No Spoil!
Ever looked at your agricultural science packs slowly rotting away, while modded science packs from outer space are already half-rotted on the way, and thought:
"Nice. Even my research has a shelf life now."
Yep. That's why I created this mod.
Bad Science, No Spoil is a little Space Age mod that lets you change the relative spoilage rate of all detected science packs. By default, the rate is set to 0, which disables spoilage completely.
You can change the spoilage rate in the mod settings. Some examples:
- 0 = science packs do not spoil
- 0.25 = science packs last four times longer
- 1 = normal spoilage
- 2 = twice as fast
You can set the rate to any number greater than or equal to 0, unless someone invents time travel.
Does it work with mods?
Yes! It should work with all mods that define spoilable science packs for normal labs.
Does it affect other items?
No. It only checks for items that are used as research ingredients in labs and already have a spoilage rate.
Help! I added the mod to an existing save. Why do I still have spoiling science?
Science packs created before the mod was added are unaffected. There is no good way to replace those items automatically.
Just purge your rotting science, or wait for it to spoil away like the tiny betrayal it is.
