A little mod about doing bacteria things outside of Gleba.
-
Iron and copper bacteria can now be cycled on Nauvis; you'll still need to import the bioflux to do this, and figure out the way to get initial bacteria to survive the trip, but it offers a more efficient import that lets your Gleba-side operations focus harder on pure bioflux output.
-
Stone bacteria can now be researched with agricultural science and predecessors once you have the Fulgora planet discovery.
-
Gathering your initial stone bacteria requires filtering through volumes of heavy oil (though not much is consumed each cycle, the chance to get a bacteria each cycle is less than one percent).
-
Once you have stone bacteria gathered, it can be cultivated with larger amounts of heavy oil, netting 3 and a half bacteria per production cycle (due to biochamber productivity) with a chance to output residual carbon from the process.
-
Stone bacteria, hardy little beasts that they are, spoil in eight minutes instead of sixty seconds; if you'd rather not wait for them to expire, they can be run through a furnace to release their accreted solids early. The extra time also means you can bring them to Nauvis if you want to for some reason, but you'll still need to keep a brisk pace to get them there alive.
-
With Fulgora Extended's chemical muck active, the muck will now be the primary media for filtering and cultivating stone bacteria; cultivating them in heavy oil becomes a Nauvis-exclusive alternate recipe.
