Hello , i very much like this, as I had thougths in this direction also, so probably my ideas are for your mod….

My idea is along some seashells which can filter out some ore out of the ocean, but some other sea-filtering are good also
Grow seashells (with your bay) which then can be worked to ore in (very) low praobailtiy quanitity (iron/copper/uran?,maybe some others which are missing for a full selfsuffiecnet aquilo-base)) and (much) calcite plus the upkeep

I am just not sure where best to get the initial shells, some filterin recipes with water/Ammonia solution.
I think most reasonable is to find some shells on Gleba or Nauvis, either like stromatoolits or filtering water, then with a heftiy research for use on Aquilo ?

The shells could also be the calcite source on Gleba and/or Nauvis

Usage of this much calcite could be additional Stone recipe using calcite plus some oil as glue

One could also fantasize to make the much abundance of calcite into insulation material and furthermore to some heat insulatied building/belts/inserts and what not, so less heat used, or even freezing-free
But this is sort of somewhat out of the mod-scoope I think, could be stand alone mod

Hi nosports, thank you for the kind words, I'm happy you enjoy the mod so much! I think the extent of this mod is dedicated more to making Wood growth on Aquilo possible, especially for early Aquilo start mods such as Frozen Reaches. I hadn't originally intended on making this mod till that mod came out, as growing wood in space was sufficient, but I'm glad I did since I'm quite happy with how seaweed gets its roots into the other recipes on Aquilo, making things just a bit messier. I don't want to further disrupt the intent of Aquilo being a planet that heavily depends on imports from other planets. That said, your ideas are really cool, and I wonder if seashells would be an interesting addition to Frozen Reaches, adding calcite or ores from crushing the discarded shells of aquatic creatures living in the Ammoniacal Ocean as an extra and unique resource to juggle.
