I see invisible boxes next to the entities being filled. If they overlap belts, they can drop ammo/fuel on those belts, if not - they can drop on the ground.
Also, these ‘invisible crates’ can be visible on mouseover

If I remove this mod - those boxes will disappear

if you put the belt under it - they will drop items on these belts

If done correctly this can even lead to the ammobox creating infinite items of what ever it is trying to insert

In my case I have a ammo box that fills itself and everything it is trying to load with coal including the other objects but not the objects itself so in this case a burner drill next to an iron chest will add infinite coal to the iron chest

The way it triggers infinite creation is placing a belt on the FIRST coal it misplaced in the first item it tries to insert into and then extending the belt and deconstructing all belts

Normally due to the misplaced coal appearing on the ground you can walk over it and hold the pick up item key to directly grab out of the ammo loader chest

I just released version 2.0.5 which should fix the dropped items and duplication issue, but I haven't figured out how to get rid of the floating indicators yet. I'll keep trying!
