g Disable Fog of War .... issues?

I have a game save that is purely designed for designing blueprints. I have Creative mod, global electricity grid, infinity chests, and such. However, I still need a grid of power and radars in order to be able to blueprint from map view. This is less than ideal.

I just want a way to not have to have the entire map covered in radars. I want explored areas to simply be visible.

Toggling fog of war through your mod .. kind of works. however the map view still has this grid of scanned and not scanned chunks constantly waterfalling across the screen diagonally. they are revealed, then fade out. just as they fade out completely, they are revealed again. Can't this be turned off? just all chunks generated always visible? Am I doing something wrong? I tried fiddling with settings, launched over 400 satellites, did a large scale scan, turned scans off. nothing worked the way I wanted. help please?

Hello! I am honestly not sure how to change this behavior (the fading in and out of chunks in map view) as it seems to be how the game engine handles the "rechart" function call that's made every few ticks; however, if zoomed in sufficiently, the individual chunks should stay visible while the fog-of-war is toggled.

Unfortunately, the last time I worked on this, it seemed to be a limitation of the mod API. That said, I can certainly try poking around the API again and take another stab at it, as it's been a while.

Also, while potentially not quite what you're looking for, have you tried the "Satellite Mode"? It has configurable settings that would allow you to zoom out much further than normal.

I posted a similar message on that forum but no response yet. I ended up realizing that since radars do what I want, and with the global electrical network setting, I don't need to run poles, so I just made a max spacing grid of radars and moved on for now. Thank you for the prompt response though.
