If you want to preserve current defaults of power output (thermal and electrical) it would look consistent to make this version of reactor physically smaller - 4x4, for example. 9x9 looks too big for small power output. Just an idea.

I agree, the reactors are 7x7, and for me, a big part of this was me trying to keeping Plutonium Reactors viable on their own for bigger outposts. this is really only for the small ones, but I might change this if I come to my senses.
I tried 6x6, the heatpipes were ugly.
That being said, it is about the right size to conceivably have everything contained in some capacity, and its power output just so happenes to be enough for a big mining outpost (and lasers with a battery bank) and the heat output will tide over a great many machines

Maybe if I have time I'll make new pretty heatpipes for 4x4 even numbers and such with a settings toggle
