Your Cheap Mode

Reduces the cost of individual items by multiplying the output and time values of most recipes. Settings are provided to prevent multiplication of user-specified recipes, and to adjust the output and time multipliers.

Hi, great mod. Could you make 2 options for this mod, is to multiply only things made in crafters, not in furnaces, not in oil procesing plant, and option to not multyply buildings.
Thanks

p.s. i know there is place where you can write recipes to skip, but im dumb so couldnt figure it out.

Hi matryona12, thanks for playing with my mod!

Excluding buildings is something I will be adding soon - it sounds like a common grievance, and since I have a different mod that makes buildings free to craft, there isn't much reason to make this mod ALSO make them (almost entirely) free.

Could you please explain the reason(s) why you'd like to specify only assemblers, and to exclude the other building types from multiplying recipes?

Part of why I have the multiplication apply to everything is so that it will play nicely with other mods. Adding this type of exclusion should be possible via recipe categories, but in order for me to keep the mod itself simple (which I very much want), it would fall to the user to define which recipe categories (smelting, chemistry, etc) that they want excluded - slightly less complex than defining recipes to skip, but rather similar overall.

It just when furnace, or chemical plant, makes more than usual and then from that ingridients some assembler create things even more, it feels super cheap, but when its only assemblers so its kinda more interesting.

From the latest update onward, buildings (placeable things, specifically) will not be multiplied.

I don't plan on adding an option for excluding building types at the moment. Because that will be left to the user, I'll explain here how to find a recipe name.

Finding a recipe name (PC)

  1. Open your inventory and hover the cursor over the recipe which you want to exclude.
  2. Press the key combination [CTRL+ALT+SHIFT+F]. Note the table of data in the window which just appeared.
  3. In the "PrototypeBase" area, find the "name" field. The second column - the "value" column - is what you need to write down.
  4. Exit to the main menu, open Settings > Mod Settings and add that text to the "User-Defined recipe names to skip" field. (e.g. the Electric Mining Drill's recipe is "electric-mining-drill", so you would type "electric-mining-drill" into that field, without the quotation marks.
  5. When you want to exclude an additional recipe, add a comma (,) after that recipe name and enter the additional one immediately after. Repeat this for each recipe you wish to exclude. (e.g. 1 recipe the field would be "basic-oil-processing", for 2 it would be "basic-oil-processing,sulfuric-acid", etc. Again, do not include the quotation marks)

For other platforms than PC the key combination / command you enter might differ, but the other steps are the same.
