Could you create a mod that adds a protective field generator to the game in the form of a dome, so that in its interface you can adjust the radius directly in the game, an increase of which will also increase energy consumption ofc. I mean something to design outposts or even whole base for it. Besides, I would like the shield to be useful first of all against opponents from modifications like ExplosiveBiters, Rampant, MoreBiters(titans with 50-100k hp). Ofcourse this technology must be at least at Hi Tech level science pack, ofcourse this domes must be VERY expensive in costs of energy, something like a special nuclear reactor that produces most of the energy exclusively to keep the dome (for the largest configurations, like 256tiles in diameter)

the problem is that the projectiles would fly through the shield and hit the building, before the damage would be negated.
one option would be to have the generator apply a shield to every building in its radius, but it would be pretty difficult to implement, i would basically have to rewrite the entire code
is this what you meant or how did you imagine it?

i dont actually know mechanics of shield dome in "endgamecombat" but it seems like it create 1 giant entity which doesnt allow biters to pass through, so they attack it instead of buildings inside and it also blocks projectiles
