I noticed immediately that this version/branch of the mod has an issue with shadows always showing up as the same as the full size tree instead of scaling like the original one did. I suspect this might be due to the animation implemented in the trees but is there any chance this might be something that will be fixed later on? A temporary fix might be to disable the shadow completely on any tree that is less than like 90% of it's full size?

I too noticed tath and I also tried to fix it, the code should be good, but the bug remains.
I will try and fix it again but I'm not sure I'm able to.
Strange, it's not a huge deal really. If you can't solve the issue would it be possible to completely hide the shadow until the trees are fully grown? It's less elegant but overall I think it would look better.
