Teleport items from planet to planet, as long as you can spare the electricity.

g Unable to send items

Hi.
I just noticed that im, for some odd reason, completly unable to send these artillery shells. The pictures show both teleporters and their settings. I just hope it has nothing to do with the mod "nothing is too heavy". I just love this mod.

The weight shouldn't matter.

If those are the two teleporters you're trying to use, I suspect it's not working because you have "Target State" set to "Empty." Since the other side is full of artillery shells, it won't activate.

so i cant send those to gleba, bc i have set the teleporter on gleba to "target state empty"? Thats not realy a bug.. but it sounds a tad weird..

A teleporter with its target state set to "Empty" will not activate if the teleporter it is targeting is not empty. Doing otherwise would defeat the entire point and purpose of setting the target state to "Empty." I do not see anything "weird" about this at all.

its weird, bc the target IS empty

(updated 2 days ago)

and the sender isnt empty, ofc

ok.. i just tested it and it works, after i change the reciver to "target state any" from "target state empty". still not very self-explanatory.

The target is the other teleporter. This teleporter has a target state of "Empty." It is targeting this teleporter, which is not empty. So it will not activate if the target state is "Empty."

but shouldnt it still work the other way around? Bc thats what i was trying to do and it didnt work..

ok.. maybe on of us isnt understand the other correctly..
bc it looks to me, that you are trying to tell me, that i cant send the stuff in the empty teleporter (on Gleba) over to the partially filled teleporter (on Nauvis), bc its set to "Empty". but that makes no sense ofc.

I don't know what "send the stuff in the empty teleporter" even means. An empty teleporter is... empty. It has no stuff to send.

Anyway, I don't know what makes no sense to you. The teleporter on Gleba has "Target State" set to "Empty." That means it will not activate unless its target is empty. The target of the Gleba teleporter is the teleporter on Nauvis. The Navis teleporter contains artillery shells; therefore, it is not empty. So, the teleporters will not activate because the target of the "Target State: Empty" teleporter is not empty.

If what you are trying to do is have Gleba request more artillery shells from Nauvis, you can have the Nauvis teleporter set to "teleport when target is empty" instead of the other way around.

yeah.. i have no idea why it was set to "target state empty"..
and i dont need the teleporter on gleba to activate. bc there isnt anything i want to send to nauvis. i just want the teleporter on nauvis (the one with the shells) to activate. and this one is ignoring the target state. i hope this makes it clear. So idk why you are trying to tell me, that i cant send stuff from gleba (the empty teleporter) to nauvis (the teleporter with the shells). thats not the problem i was telling you about..

While it's convenient and usually fine to talk about "sending" and "receiving," the actual way the teleporters work is by swapping the contents of both inventories, so both of them are actually sending and receiving at the same time. If something is preventing either side from activating then they will not be able to teleport, regardless of which one actually initiates the teleportation. So, yes, you do need the teleporter on Gleba to be able to activate, even if you don't actually click the button or send the signal on that side.

oh... didnt knew that. so one could theoretically use one set of teleporters to send items in both directions. good to know.
