Teleport Anywhere

Teleport Anywhere is a lightweight, player-only teleportation mod for Factorio 2.0.

Teleport anywhere on your current surface using Remote View.
With Space Age enabled, you can also teleport directly between planets your force has already visited.

The mod only moves the player character. Items, vehicles, trains, and cargo are never teleported, so normal Factorio logistics remain relevant.

Features

Map Teleport

Teleport to any accessible location on your current surface.

  1. Click the Teleport Anywhere button in the upper-left corner.
  2. Click Map Teleport.
  3. Open Remote View and select your destination.
  4. You will be teleported near the center of the selected area.

If the selected position is blocked, Teleport Anywhere uses Factorio's collision system to search for a nearby safe position.

No safe position = no teleport.

You can also open the Teleport Anywhere menu with:

Alt + M

The key binding can be changed in Factorio's control settings.

Space Age Support

Space Age is optional.

Without Space Age:

  • Map Teleport is fully available.
  • You can teleport anywhere on your current surface.

With Space Age:

  • Map Teleport remains available.
  • You can teleport between previously visited planets.
  • Modded planets are supported whenever possible.

Planet Teleport

With Space Age enabled, planets your force has already visited appear in the Teleport Anywhere menu.

Simply select a planet to teleport there.

First visits still require normal travel

Teleport Anywhere cannot be used to reach a new planet for the first time.

Your force must first physically reach the planet using the normal Space Age progression.

For example:

Nauvis → Space Platform → Vulcanus

After Vulcanus has been visited:

Nauvis ⇄ Vulcanus via Teleport Anywhere

This means the mod does not bypass the initial planetary progression.

Where Do You Arrive?

When teleporting to another planet, Teleport Anywhere uses:

  1. The Cargo Landing Pad, if one exists.
  2. The planet's spawn position, if there is no Cargo Landing Pad.

The mod then searches nearby for a valid position where your character can safely stand.

Modded Planets

Planet names are not hardcoded.

Teleport Anywhere uses Factorio's Planet data, allowing planets added by other mods to work automatically whenever they use the standard Planet system.

Special-purpose surfaces that are not registered as planets are not treated as teleport destinations.

What Can Be Teleported?

Teleported

  • Your player character
  • Your inventory
  • Equipped armor and equipment

Not Teleported

  • Vehicles
  • Spidertrons
  • Trains
  • Buildings
  • Robots
  • Cargo
  • Other units

Teleportation is unavailable while inside a vehicle.

Space Platforms

Space Platform teleportation is intentionally not supported.

You cannot teleport:

  • Planet → Space Platform
  • Space Platform → Planet
  • Space Platform → Space Platform
  • Within a Space Platform using Map Teleport

Multiplayer

Multiplayer is supported.

Map Teleport state and GUI state are tracked separately for each player.

With Space Age, visited planets are tracked per force. Players on the same force therefore share access to planets that their force has already visited.

Why?

Large Factorio factories can make player travel increasingly time-consuming.

Space Age makes this even more noticeable when managing factories across several planets.

Teleport Anywhere is designed to remove player travel time, not logistics.

You still need:

  • Belts, trains, and robots to move resources around your factory.
  • Rockets and Space Platforms to establish interplanetary logistics.
  • Normal Space Age progression to reach each planet for the first time.

But if you just need to fix something on Vulcanus, check your factory on Fulgora, and then return to Nauvis, you don't need to spend time waiting for transportation.
