In the vanilla game, Automation research is excluded from research multipliers because hand crafting 1000 red science to start isn't fun. As a workaround, I set my desired research multiplier in the vanilla map generation settings and left this mod at 1x then I made my other adjustments (reducing how infinite research scales).

Would be nice to have a setting to exclude automation research.

Thank you for pointing this out, I wasn't even aware that some techs are excluded from the native multiplier.

I will make it so that Automation (and other techs flagged with ignore_tech_cost_multiplier) will only be affected by the multiplier when it is below 1.0x.

Awesome, thanks for the fast update. I'm actually doing a whole new playthrough because of this mod. Always wanted the ability to have high initial cost, but lower scaling infinite research.
