For when you need bigger nukes and more options besides the vanilla atomic bomb rocket. This mod includes 1 ton, 20 ton, 120 ton, 1kt and 15kt atomic bombs along with thermobarics and a few other things.
Hey there, the mod has been pretty fun to use so far, I was wondering if you couldnt integrate the ability to use plutonium from https://mods.factorio.com/mod/PlutoniumEnergy to make bombs with, I been using Schall Uranium Processing so there isnt any Kovarex to get more U-235 from ore fields than what is centrifuged out, though with Plutonium Energy my factorio server has finally gotten a small stock of Pu-239 which might be fun to smite the biters with that ail us.
I'll see what I can do when I get around to updating this mod. You know how some of the bombs in this mod have alternate recipes that use more/less/no heavy water? Perhaps I could make plutonium versions of each recipe that show up if that mod is detected and then provide a mod option to disable the u-235 recipes if desired by the user. Shouldn't be too hard. I'll keep this in mind when preparing the next mod update.
One of the reasons I haven't made this part of StopgapNukes yet is this. Do we REALLY want to remove the uranium recipes and replace them with plutonium recipes? Why not have both plutonium and uranium recipes active at the same time? Then a mod setting could determine whether or not to remove the uranioum recipe while the plutonium mod is installed. Well that would mean rearranging some things in the mod code, but more importantly, I haven't played the plutonium mod enough to know if that would mess up the crafting chain or not. Suggestions appreciated.
When I made my original post here I certainly was suggesting having the ability to use both Uranium and Plutonium for making nuclear weapons, my suggestion would be the addition of alternative plutonium recipes that result in the uranium warhead in question maybe, I think you would need less plutonium (I could be wrong) to make an equivalent uranium based warhead so maybe that would be an idea to factor in too.
Thanks again for such an awesome mod also, its been great fun to use.
