I just installed this mod: 'Laser Weapons' (https://mods.factorio.com/mod/LaserWeapons) and they provide two new weapons that I liked!
It would be cool if I could have Spidertrons with that weapons!

Sorry for not responding to this sooner and thanks for the request and implementation! Adding new weapons is outside the scope of what I'm interested in doing myself with SWS. But I'm always open to pull requests on GitHub which implement these things.
