There is a full guide at the github link, but yes.

https://mods.factorio.com/mod/quick-adjustable-inserters is already compatible, so it has code samples, if you want. https://github.com/JanSharp/quick-adjustable-inserters.

I'll check and see what I can do, technically, even an external mod can add this type of compatibility.

The only problem is that I have not played Ultracube and do not know what should be changed.

I'll be the lab rat, if you like.
