⚠️ SearchlightAssault ⚠️

Adds a game map and searchlights which sweep for foes at great range, alerting you while directing adjacent turrets to snipe spotted foes. Designed to dovetail with the early-mid game, searchlights provide: - Circuit network interfaces for search & detection I/O - Incentive to automate lamp & combinator production in the early game - New tactics to assault biter bases without leap-frogging turrets!

b Wire connections are removed when a turret is modified by a searchlight

Hello!

The title says it all. Turrets lose their wire connections when they are modified / replaced by the searchlight.

I was attempting to make a "safe" nuke missile turret that only reloads after a cooldown to avoid launching a bunch of nukes at once when I encountered this issue.

To reproduce the issue, connect a turret next to a searchlight to a wire, and have the searchlight spot an enemy, then observe the wire disappearing.

Thanks for your report! Very sorry to hear of the potential self-nuking problem, I hope this hasn't caused too much damage to your own base.

Your blueprint seems to contain some entities from mods, but I think I understand the issue regardless.
(I initially made this mod before you could connect turrets by wire, so I never took their connections into account)

I have this weekend off from work, so I'll try to have a fix ready shortly.

Whoops, forgot to clear out the modded entities. 🤦

Luckily there hasn't been any self-nuking since I was testing out the design in creative to avoid such an outcome. Thanks for the concern though, lmao.

I'll be looking forward to a patch 👀

I've just uploaded version 2.3.16 which should fix this problem.
The new version should start to appear in the mod portal shortly.
If you don't see it in-game you can download it manually here: https://mods.factorio.com/mod/SearchlightAssault/downloads

Please let me know if you notice any further issues!
