I can't test the mod right now but i'd like to thank you in advance because some time ago I started to play with a mod that allows a permanent and 100% dark night on a map with 600% enemies and spotlights were the only thing missing to complete the canvas

That sounds like an awesome map!

What mods are you using? I spend so much time of my free time working on this mod I don't have a lot of time to look for new ones, haha

Anyway, make sure you grab the latest, I just released version 1.0.5

I'm using tons of mods, but for the "nightmare mode" I downloaded these :
- For 100% dark night https://mods.factorio.com/mod/NightBrightness
- For permanent night https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Clockwork

I'm also using this nice mod which produces signals according to biter presence which allows me to active and deactive large arrays of defense (especially with high power drain like Krastorio turrets) https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Biter_Detector_Sentinel_Combinator
It goes well with this one https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Command_and_Conquer_RedAlert_Sounds especially if you know Command & Conquer. It has a lot of sounds including an "Enemy approaching" to be playing when the above detectors senses biters (or even "Base under attack"), and if you like to tinker with circuits you can even use the "Mission accomplished" sound when all biters have been killed
With a bit of imagination you can make good use of "Satellite launched", "Silos needed", "Insufficent/low power"... :D

The biter sentinel mod looks interesting, my own mod puts out a signal with coordinates of spotted biters. I might have to see if there's a way to integrate with that other mod, if I ever get bored.
