i Independent mod?

I know this mod hasn't been updated in 2 years, but would it be possible to make another version of this mod without needing dependencies? It would only add the Nostalgia Locomotive for a less biter-focused or more vanilla-themed world. If you decide to do that, do you think adding the old wagons as an additional recipe (not replacing the current one) is doable?
