I noticed the line "Harder than standard Rampant and not recommended for first-time Rampant players", is this a fix mod for rampant or a seperate thing? The name is confusing me.

I downloaded this since I wanted to play Rampant, saw the mod hadn't been updated in a year and assumed this was a fixed version of it but now I'm confused if it's a custom harder version of it or not.

If it is, the name is really misleading

At the time of development of the "Rampant Fixed", the current version of Rampant 1.1.1 was practically non-functional. This mod fixed many bugs

However, two years have passed. All this time, "Rampant Fixed" was actively being developed. And now it has a lot of things that the original Rampant didn't have. I agree that the prefix “fixed” no longer fully reflects the essence of the differences. However, it is still suitable because the main problem of the original Rampant - the lack of mutations of existing nests remains and this is "fixed" by my mod

As for you, if you haven't played against a regular Rampant, then "fixed" can be overly difficult, because the biters are significantly smarter and the factions are balanced to require all three types of damage. However, if you play on the normal world to get acquainted with the mod, you can get a lot of fun

Interesting, I'm assuming the name can't be updated now but I noticed there was an easy mode in the mod settings.
That said, my group's been using the vanilla factorio weapons so far and we've been fending them off fine, there's been a few incidents here and there but otherwise what we've called the "Fuck around and find out wall" is holding them off well.

It's been a ton of fun having Biters actually pose an active threat throughout the run lmao.
