b Constantly settling all over the map

Hello :)
I added this mod to my existing world (which uses Rampant Evolution since the start) and it creates settling parties every ~30 seconds.
I can tell thanks to the mod 'biterexpansionnotifier' that it happens this often.

This is my map: https://imgur.com/5A9Ge0v
(I already drove a lot to explore but the map is only 13h old.)
'Will not populate the entire map by default' was advertised but something seems to be wrong here. The new nests are settling all over the map, even outside the explored parts where it's still black.

I already tried changing the 'settlement probability' anywhere between 0.001 and 0.95 but I see no difference at all.
I also toggled 'Enable Migration', 'Enable Raiding AI' and 'Enable Siege AI' but these also did not fix the issue.
'Enable Peaceful' is unchecked.

Do you have any ideas what could be causing this?
Thanks in advance!

Btw for some reason all enemies and nests have now dissappeared.
I have no idea how this happened, but yesterday when I had the issue discribed above, the nests were still there.

You may have "AI: Siege" mode active right now.
In this mode, biters do not populate the map as a whole, but tend to get closer to the player. if it's not "ok" for you, then you can turn it off in the map settings - then only "vanilla" expansion will remain. Since the allowed modes are checked only when switching, the effect of turning off may appear after 10-20 minutes.

For an answer on your specific situation, I need your save

Thank you for your quick reply!
The 'AI: Siege' mode is active, and it is indeed what I want. I want the biters to populate closer to my base, and not across the entire map.
However for some reason they settle across the entire map anyways.

The 10-20 minute delay is probably what has me confused.
Are there other settings which will take effect only after such a delay?

Only settings for available AI modes.
Conditionally "delayed action" for the invulnerability settings of the player's buildings. Already built objects will be attacked, after destruction the objects will appear again, invulnerable
