Rampant, fixed

Based on Rampant 1.1.1 (new AI and enemies). 1. Perceptibly more dangerous. AI significantly rewritten, gameplay different. Can attack from afar. Improved search for a passage in the defense. By default, it does not populate the entire map. 2. +2 Factions. Can mutate existing nests. Mixed attacks from different factions. Can be combined with nests of other enemies

b Worm can't hit me at max range

Soo... Started new game(pre arachnid version), found one nest with worms, worms saw me and start throwing white glue at me, but said white glue is falling on the ground right before me. So I gunned it at max range from SMG(not 100% accuracy, more like 20%) till death - it taken some time, but it was pretty non-threating for what's I expected from deathworld at 30th minute.

Worm's max range shows as 41 which was more than my SMG(didn't remember, but it was something along the lines of 36?)

It feels like SMG range + bullet's spread is more than worm's attack range and/or worm projectile's "life time" is less than max range => projectile is forced to land before hitting me. I stayed still, so no movement prediction should be enabled.

I run SE2 + K2 + Rampant Arsenal + Realistic combat something along with Rampant, fixed. No barriers between me and the worm.

Do you need save or video record?

I think I can imagine what it's about. Thanks
In principle, the bug is not critical, especially considering that the basis of defense is biters, but it is worth fixing. In the next planned release.

In the meantime, you can consider this as a bonus for attentive players )

Thanks!

On side note,

bitters

Can you make "response bitters" spawn in waves instead of one-by-one? Right now they got no chance to get to me after initial bitters cleaning: it's easy to kill one bitter every few seconds. Kill five bitters every 5*few seconds would be much harder and forced me to at least move/heal instead of just chilling while holding space button.

At high levels of evolution, "revenge squads" of impressive size come from the nearest nests. As practice has shown, even the Rampant Arsenal cannot hold back these units for a long time and the player has to retreat.
If you can handle them, then you deserve to win.

However, it is one thing to clear the territory, and quite another to keep it.

Just in case: the recommended final enemy level for K2+Rampant arsenal is 7-8. The AI can "catch" the player on default level 5 as well, but only if the player is not careful. Or playing the fixed Rampant for the first time.
