Improves the enemies tactics by using potential fields (pheromones) allowing probing of defenses, retreats, reinforcements, counterattacking, breaching, raids, rallying death cry, and player hunting. Uses blockable biter projectiles. Adds new Enemies which can be disabled in mod settings. Difficulty setting in mod options menu.

First of all, thank you for the mod! It really added a lot of new depth into the game, which is why I really want to get it working for me. This is a copy of what I posted to Factorio Reddit, where noone was able to help me.


Hello,

I encountered a very weird issue. Im playing on a K2 playthrough with Rampant for some extra challenge. Since installing the "Laser Artillery" turrets, the biter AI has broken down with rampant.

Please see the video, especially towards the end, how the issue manifests. I get a steady 60FPS/UPS and the F4 Debug seems to indicate the pathing is somehow slowed down.

As soon as attack groups enter the turret range and start being engaged, the biter AI just freezes. It seems like the turret projectiles make them freeze on impact. It seems to get better the closer the biters get, leading me to believe there is some kind of optimization going on in far away chunks?

I have tried:

  • Messing with all relevant mod settings (optimization, etc.)

  • Turning down graphic settings

  • Googling for all relevant keywords

to no avail.

I have a 13900k, 64GB of 6000mhz RAM and a RTX 4090, so I doubt my system is the issue.
