Rampant

Improves the enemies tactics by using potential fields (pheromones) allowing probing of defenses, retreats, reinforcements, counterattacking, breaching, raids, rallying death cry, and player hunting. Uses blockable biter projectiles. Adds new Enemies which can be disabled in mod settings. Difficulty setting in mod options menu.

are you able to reproduce this issue and do you have a save that you can provide?

Thank you so much for your quick reply. I've uploaded the save and my mod list to the forum thread. As I said there, the event occurs less than a minute into the save. I'm playing a heavily mod'ed version of krastorio2 and I added Rampant mid save to increase biter threat.
