Rampant

Improves the enemies tactics by using potential fields (pheromones) allowing probing of defenses, retreats, reinforcements, counterattacking, breaching, raids, rallying death cry, and player hunting. Uses blockable biter projectiles. Adds new Enemies which can be disabled in mod settings. Difficulty setting in mod options menu.

b Nests causing buildings to deconstruct themselves

A biter nest formed just out of reach of my turret line, and all the nearby turrets became items on the ground. Trying to rebuild them notifies me that construction is blocked by nearby nests. Naturally, with my defenses crippled so, the base fell.

Sadly, this is a major dealbreaker for me.

Sounds like a conflict. I don't think Rampant has anything to turn turrets into items-dropped-on-ground.

I'm pretty sure the turrets drop because the ground they're on is no longer a valid place for their construction.
Rampant makes areas around nests invalid for construction.

It could be, although I'm pretty sure I didn't have it at the time (I remember installing it in response to the weird break in my line, swapping the turrets out for tanks).

Apologies if it is indeed a different mod that was causing it (or even some sort of attack behaviour that's intentional).
