Improves the enemies tactics by using potential fields (pheromones) allowing probing of defenses, retreats, reinforcements, counterattacking, breaching, raids, rallying death cry, and player hunting. Uses blockable biter projectiles. Adds new Enemies which can be disabled in mod settings. Difficulty setting in mod options menu.

I gave this option a try, aside from changing it to a small AOE, the damage seemed unusually high, small spitters could do about 4-5x the normal damage? 10-15 hits to kill a player with heavy armor, normally it takes about 50.

also the bugs maybe arent using the correct sound? sounds like a flamer thrower.

The sound is a bug.

Part of the reason it took 50 hits before is due to the fact the projectiles couldn't miss, so damage had to be low.

Do you have a better number range and some reasoning for your pick?

Since static defenses do most of the fighting, I wouldnt have expected a big damage increase, if that was intentional - maybe add a comment to the tooltip?

player 250 hp, heavy armor 3/30% acid
spitter small/big 10/30 damage, against heavy armor - 4.9 damage - 52 hits / 18.9 damage - 14 hits

So basically the small spitters are doing as much damage as big spitters would?

I didnt test it enough to say for sure, but it looks like the walls were taking damage in increments of 30 and I suspect the AOE was allowing them to tear down multiple layers of wall at a time.

It was an intentional bump in damage, I can add a tooltip comment.

I can do some balancing on the damages as well, I believe that my original numbers were setup pre-0.15, so the health regeneration changes make a big difference.
