g Cannot Place Rails Error

I swear this used to work with this very same blueprint flawlessly in my last playthrough. When I run the planner on this rail block it shows "cannot place rails that create bidirectional rails" and highlights the single Rail Signal. I have "One Way Rails Only" checked. I have no other rails attached to this block, long term I will, but I want to narrow down this problem first.

What am I doing wrong?
