This was already fixed in 1.2.4, make sure to update
That said, I'll probably remove the functionality that you can place the planner in your inventory, similar to copy and paste tools.
Now that you can change the settings through the menu and a shortcut, there is no need anymore to open it through right click in inventory/toolbar
