Was able to fix the issue by making sure all the dependencies were updated but need help through the first steps. Seems like I dont start off with the needed equipment. 1k landfill, 1 burner drill, 2 stone furnaces, 2 gas vents and 2 sinkholes.

you should have landfill, stone, and wood on you and there should be a stone furnace, 2 sink holes/gas vents, and a crap ton of scrap laying around near you to get you started.
